“Power to the People" is a song by Curtis Mayfield from 1970. Then, in '71, John Lennon and the Plastic Ono Band asked for power back to the people with a song of their own. Fifty years later we’re handing power back to the people with the overwhelming landslide of Joe and Kamala’s win. The people voted for this. The people never chose to lose their voice. We masked up and marched, we protested, we tweeted, we made art, and we demanded the power back. And we won.
